Previous Years Staff
“Frasier,” Camp Director
Sarah has worked with camps since 2011. She fell in love with camps and went on to study leisure and recreation, focusing in summer camps and tourism. She is passionate about providing youth with well-developed recreation and travel opportunities.
“Oak,” Camp Counselor
Matt wants to be a counselor because he wants to continue to develop his leadership abilities. Matt loves working with kids, and really enjoyed his experience working at both Bells Bend Beaman and Warner Park last year! Working at camp has also given him confidence in his ability to lead. As Matt begins his teaching career, he knows that working at camp will continue to give him skills that he can use while working with kids both in and out of the classroom. In his free time Matt enjoys hiking through the Adirondacks, and playing tennis.
“Salamander,” Camp Counselor
Amanda has always enjoyed being outside. She grew up playing and exploring in the woods and creek behind her house. Amanda loves to play volleyball outside with her family and especially loves hiking and camping. Amanda loves children and enjoys playing with them, so when she heard of Leadership Academy and the opportunity to be outside and be with children (two of her favorite things) she was really excited. Amanda hopes to be able help children grow in appreciation for the outdoors over the summer and to help them learn to enjoy being outside.
